Cocooned by nature, the historic village settlement of Canungra and hilltop oasis and creative community of Beechmont derive their energy and activity as the entry point for nearby Lamington National Park.
Lamington National Park, O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat and Binna Burra Lodge draw a steady stream of weekend travellers to stay and play and explore lush prehistoric rainforests with towering trees, expansive views, extensive walking tracks and outstanding biodiversity.
From Canungra, gain a bird’s-eye view of the mountains, pastures and rainforest on a hot-air balloon or hang-glider, or opt for a panoramic vista over a picnic or relaxing lunch at the award-winning O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard. In the village centre, enjoy a pub meal at the family-friendly Canungra Hotel and browse the diverse mix of shops before stocking up on organic produce at farm gate stalls.
The best Canungra and Beechmont has to offer.

We are proud of our diverse communities within the region. We acknowledge the traditional owners of the many lands within the Scenic Rim - the Mununjali in the Centre, the Wangerriburra to the East, the Ugurapul to the West, and all those of the Yugambeh and Jagera language groups. We pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
