Start off your boys trip strong with some horse powered adrenaline, the Scenic Rim Adventure Park is the place to get mud splattered across the side of your 4WD and test the limits of your driver (and back-seat drivers for that matter).

Sprawled across 680 acres and 20km of off-road driving, the rugged terrain, steep climbs and challenging tracks are where you can properly put your rig to the test. There’s plenty to keep experienced drivers entertained while still offering tracks for different skill levels too.

Rising above Mount French, this towering sandstone escarpment is regarded as one of Australia’s best traditional climbing destinations. Its 40-metre-high cliffs stretch for more than 400 metres, offering some of the country’s finest crack-climbing routes and rewarding those who reach the top with sweeping views across the Scenic Rim.

You’ll need the gear and some rock-climbing experience to ascend the cliffs, but even if that’s not your speed, the hike to and from still delivers epic scenery and lookouts along the way.
