Whether you’re an outdoor adventure-seeker or a fine-diner, the Scenic Rim has the activities, attractions and places to stay for every country holiday need.

The Scenic Rim is a large region with lots to discover. With many of our amazing destinations nestled in valleys between mountain ranges, it’s a good idea to check travel distances before you head out on the road to explore.

The Scenic Rim is ideally located in South East Queensland and is just 80km or one hour’s drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It’s also within easy driving distance from Ipswich, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Northern New South Wales.

Brisbane Airport (BNE) and Gold Coast Airport (OOL) are the main gateways to the Scenic Rim by air and provide multiple onsite rental car options for onward travel to the region.

Visitors can also travel to the Scenic Rim via rail. Queensland Rail has regular services to Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast Line and Rosewood on the Ipswich/Rosewood Line and then continue your travel by car or bus to the Scenic Rim.
