GRAPES OF MIRTH, AUSTRALIA’S BIGGEST COMEDY AND WINE PARTY IS COMING TO CAULDRON DISTILLERY, TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN

For the first time in Southeast Queensland, Merrick Watts’ travelling wine and comedy festival is setting up stage and bringing and absolutely massive line-up of comedians with them.

Grapes of Mirth is renowned around the country for its laid-back afternoons in the most beautiful locations with the cream of the crop of Australian comedy, and this event is no different.

Making their way up to Tamborine Mountain are Tommy Little, Mel Buttle, Rhys Nicholson, Pete Helliar, Urvi Majumdar, with Grapes of Mirth Head Clown Merrick Watts MCing proceedings.

It wouldn’t be Grapes of Mirth without resident DJ Pedro Moshman spinning tracks between the comedy and providing the tunes for kick-ons at the end of the day. Grapes of Mirth was founded in 2017, as a unifier of Merrick’s two great passions, wine and comedy. The format is simple: A comedy gala split across three comedy brackets. In between, there’s seriously good local wine to drink, delicious food to smash, a dancefloor to hit and plenty of sunshine to soak up.

Merrick is thrilled to be bringing the event to Southeast Queensland for the first time “We’ve been looking for the perfect venue near Brisbane and the Gold Coast for years, so we’re absolutely stoked to have found Cauldron Distillery. We’ll be bringing in some truly world-class Queensland wine, and obviously a killer afternoon of comedy.
