Kalbar Sunflower Festival

An opportunity for tourists to visit a sunflower farm based at Kalbar in the picturesque Scenic Rim Region, walk among a million sunflowers and totally immerse themselves in the beauty and happiness they provide.

Excellent photography opportunities, a great event for the whole family. As well as the excitement of being up close and personal with acres of sunflowers there is free live entertainment by local musicians, free children’s activities such as bubble blowing, art activations, animal petting, sensory garden and mini children’s maze. Sunflower merchandise as well as food and beverages on sale.

For the adults add on’s such as sunflower art classes, mini family photography shoots, flower crowns and our four acre sunflower maze. Enjoy a long table lunch prepared by Chef Richard Ousby in the sunflowers and perhaps a sunflower cocktail by Boonah Brewing Co. Their very popular Devonshire tea supports The Mater Foundation so enjoy a sunflower scone and cup of tea or coffee knowing you are helping raise funds for cancer care. The sunflower festival is full of happiness and joy bringing together the local community and visitors from around Queensland and beyond. You can bring your own secateurs or borrow theirs and you can pick your own sunflowers to take home for AUD2.00 a stem.
