Visit the Scenic Rim in February
It’s going to be a busy 2018 in the Scenic Rim. The summer holidays are over and the events calendar is filling up fast. February is a busy month, with some diverse Scenic Rim events on offer.
Put these Scenic Rim February events and experiences on your schedule.
Start the day with a Vinyasa Flow yoga class at Allamburra Farm on Tamborine Mountain.
Yogi Laura Trimble-Thompson will lead the open-aid class, on the grass with the backdrop of fruit trees, rainforest and an audience of resident sheep, chickens, peacocks and dogs.
The Allamburra ‘egg shed’ will be open before and after the class so you can buy fresh produce, including a range of certified organic products.
Head to the Ivory’s Rock Convention and Event Centre at Peak Crossing for this popular music, arts, lifestyle and environmental festival.
It runs for three days and has a strong focus on the arts, education, healing and music.
Rowing season is upon us and the Olympic-standard rowing course at Lake Wyaralong is hosting some of Queensland’s best junior rowers.
On Saturday February 3, 10, 17 and 24 the Lake will host regattas for Gregory Terrace, Nudgee College, Brisbane Grammar and Anglican Church Grammar Schools.
On Sunday February 25, it’s the Place West Rowing Regatta.
Take your picnic rug and watch the action.
