Long summer days, clear skies and stunning surrounds make the Scenic Rim the perfect place to spend the holidays. As well as our natural assets, there’s plenty of events and activities happening during December and January.

Christmas Celebrations – various
The Scenic Rim community really knows how to get in the festive spirit. Fun, family-friendly Christmas events are planned for town throughout the region.
Join the Beaudesert Rotary Club in Jubilee Park for Christmas carols.
Head to Ivory’s Rock Peak Crossing for an afternoon of Christmas fun. Santa will visit, there will be fireworks, rides, amusement for the kids, a waterslide, Christmas carols, live music and market and food stalls. Entry is free.
Take the family to this community performance celebrating the story of Christmas. Food vendors, free entertainment and stable animals.
The Boonah High Street closes for this annual Christmas celebration. Watch the parade of floats and community groups down the street before you do a spot of late night shopping and try out all the rides. Santa will be there too!
Start the evening at the Salvation Army Hall from 5pm with complimentary food. Join the candlight walk to Kalbar State School for carols from 7pm.
Join the spectators at the Wyaralong Dam for the Wyaralong Rowing Club Premiership Regatta. Competitors from around Queensland will compete.
The popular Mt Alford Artisans Market returns for a special pre-Christmas event. The markets support stall holders who recycle, upcycle, reuse and create handmade, organic and local products.
Free entry, 7 TAB races, bookies, tote, bars, food, wine and a Christmas hamper raffle. $50pp banquet lunch.
Join these two Aussie rock and roll legends for a fun night of music and comedy, with special guest Denise Drysdale. It’s a family-friendly event, come early and have a meal.
Go trackside at Beaudesert Racetrack for a fun and relaxed Australia Day race meet.
Watch some of Queensland’s best rowers compete for the state titles at Wyaralong Dam.
