Meet the Locals – Nick Moore
When you’re exploring a new region, there’s nothing better than local’s knowledge. We asked Nick Moore, the general manager at Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk to share his insider tips to the Scenic Rim.
The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk is situated on a private 12ha property. Visitors can take a 1.5km walk through the rainforest floor, up to the canopy via 300-metres of high tech steel bridges. A 40-metre cantilever bridge carries you right into the rainforest canopy.
The Skywalk is open seven-days a week and there is also a cafe and gift shop on site.
Favourite place to eat
CJ’s Village Green Grocer on Tamborine Mountain, they do wonderful vegetarian light meals and the best juices on the mountain.
Favourite place to have a coffee
Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, of course! We serve “Nespresso” coffee just the way George Clooney likes it.
My favourite Scenic Rim place to visit is …
Palm Grove National Park. It’s always amazing.
What I love most about the Scenic Rim …
It would have to be its people, always there for each other in good times and bad.
Favourite Scenic Rim view?
It would have to be the hang glider’s lookout on Tamborine Mountain at sunset, just stunning.
