Head along to the biggest licensed bird sale in Queensland when the Beaudesert Parrot & Finch Association hosts its 14th annual bird sale on November 11.
The event will go from 9am to noon at the Beaudesert Showgrounds, with sellers able to set up from 7.30am.
Buyers and sellers come from all over Queensland and interstate for this major event on the avicultural calendar.
Hundreds of birds will be for sale direct from the breeders, including native and exotic parrots, alexandrines, finches, canaries, lorikeets, conures, indian ringnecks, lovebirds, bourkes, kakarikis, neophemas, red-rumped parrots, cockatiels, rosellas, budgerigars, quail, doves, hand-raised pet birds and breeding pairs.
All bird-keeping supplies will also be for sale, including cages, aviaries, feeders, drinkers, catching nets, nest boxes, carry boxes, bird toys, pet bird hammocks, hand-rearing mix, wormers, bird-safe insecticide, diet supplements, avian vitamins, lorikeet food and all birdseed in up to 20kg bags.
There’ll be food and hot and cold drinks for sale, and the raffle will be drawn about 11am.
Admission is $2 per person and children under 14 get in for free.
