Celebrate the extraordinary things women across the world are doing in the name of adventure when the global Women’s Adventure Film Tour comes to the Boonah Cultural Centre on November 7.
Witness first hand the grit and determination of top Australian climber Monique Forestier and take on the mountains with the youngest Australian to summit Mt Everest, Alyssa Azar. Journey across Greenland on a bicycle with record breaking expedition cyclist, Kate M Leeming. Experience snowboarding in Iran through the eyes of international snowboard competitor Michaela Davis-Meehan. And get a glimpse into life as a competitive adventurer with world champion trials rider Janine Jungfels, and Australian and New Zealand Olympic skiers Anna Segal and Janina Kuzma.
Watch 12 short films, take part in prize giveaways and hear from Michaela Davis-Meehan, who’ll share about her experience as a professional snowboarder on the World Freeride Qualifying Tour and about her film Persian Powder (included in the tour).
