About the artists
QUEENSLAND singer-songwriter Kim Wright is aiming to continue the sound of country pioneers including George Jones, Merle Haggard and George Strait in his music.
The 2018 CMAA Academy of Country Music graduate has been playing music for 15 years, and has released his debut single, Man of the House.
Kim’s biggest musical highlight so far has been performing at the 2018 Tamworth Country Music Festival Official Opening Concert in front of 10,000 fans.
Country music has always been the genre closest to Kim’s heart, having grown up on it, appreciating the storytelling nature of the form and that everyone can relate to the experiences sung about in a country song.
Kim will be a fantastic addition to this Rock ‘N’ Country Festival.
Griffin County encases all the elements you want in a band, edgy, energetic and entertaining. Whether they are crooning with a soulful ballad or belting out the latest country rock song the audience will be singing right along with them.
The band launched early 2018 and has already made an impact in the South East Queensland country music scene.
The members of the band all hail from an impressive musical history with over 30 years of performing in such places as the Gympie Muster, Tamworth and as far as New Zealand.
Griffin County is quickly gathering a solid following and will guarantee to get your venue, party or festival up and rocking.
At 14 Amy Elise has certainly honed and cultivated an enticing sound to call her own, which has already earned her the recognition to travel to Blackbird studios in Nashville to write and record. That said we are proud to host Amy Elise to be a part of this festival and are looking forward to her performing for you.
Keith Dunn is a semi-retired dairy farmer from Beaudesert Queensland.
Music has been a life long passion of Keith’s from his younger days in rock and roll bands such as the “Psychadelic Cymbals” to his now true passion, country music.
He has released 2 albums so far with a mix of his own songs and some of his favorite tributes. All proceeds from sales of his first CD go to the Royal Flying Doctors of Australia. Proceeds from his most recent “Memories” all go to the Children’s Hospital Foundation. So far he has raised over $20, 000!
