The Scenic Rim April Events Calendar is jam packed. Here’s a taster.
The colour and spectacle of the Commonwealth Games has inspired the Scenic Rim’s Windows to the World community events. Share the Fire is a major part of that project and happens from April 1 to 14. This community arts activation showcases the culture, unique identify and stories of the Scenic Rim. Join the celebrations in your local community.
Shared Fire Tamborine Mountain – April 1
Featuring, Street Food Truck Revolution, Kelly Sports family fun activities, family picnic zone, Artisans’ Alley, roving performers, storytelling around the fires.
Shared Fire Beaudesert, Monday, April 2
Featuring Street Food Truck Revolution, vintage car and bike displays, family fun sports activities, roving performances, storytellers around the fires and more.
Tastes of the Commonwealth Boonah, April 3
Featuring Picnic Parlour Dessert Lane, Artisan markets, street dining, roving performances and late night shopping.
A fabulous festival at the Ramada Resort Kooralbyn Valley, running from 10am to 6.30pm. Featuring the Street Food Truck Revolution, Kelly Sports family fun activities, artisan markets, workshops and demonstrations and resort activities.
Planning your wedding? Then be sure to drop in to the Scenic Rim’s newest boutique wedding venue – White Chapel and Black Hall Kalbar.
The property will be open its first showcase on April 8. Book in for the showcase, for a chance to win a free Chapel Ceremony, valued at $1300.
The Showcase will feature live music, Drayhorse Shire carriages and a unicorn!
Organisers say the showcase is a one-stop-shop, where you can meet stylists, florists, photographers, caterers, dress designers and other wedding specialists.
Wedding services on display include Wendy Makin Bridal Designs, Beautiful Weddings Australia, Jacqui M Designs, Cuisine on Cue, We are twine and Bella Brides.
International soprano Mirusia Louwerse is coming to the Wedding & Function Gardens, Beacon Rd Tamborine Mountain for a special performance.
Brisbane-born Mirusia will share amazing stories from her wonderful career (including how Andrew Rieu wrote a special piece of music for her wedding) and she will delight the audience with songs from her new album.
The ticket price includes a three-course meal, arrival drink and tea and coffee.
Strap in for the wildest event on the Dust Hustle calendar. QLD Moto Park, outside Boonah, is the location for The Riders’ Event.
DH6 is a ‘bring anything’ moto campout, with just the right amount of good food and great drinks. Test yourself on the three tracks spread across the Queensland Moto Park.
Frock up for this popular country racing carnival. Beaudesert Race Club turns it on for a relaxed country race day.
The AQUIS Champions Tour returns to Elysian Fields for the third year and organisers say this year’s competition will be bigger and better than before.
As well as world-class showjumping, you’ll enjoy the trade stalls and food village.
The high adrenaline Spartan Race returns to Ivory’s Rock Convention Centre Peak Crossing for a 23-obstacle, 7km test of endurance and mettle.
