Love Letters Across the Rim
The Centre Beaudesert- Until August 18, 2012
Art Exhibition developed and presented by Ethos Foundation, Dave Groom and John Jackson. This community arts and ecology project celebrates the love between the people and the landscapes of the Scenic Rim region. The project enables the forests, rivers, mountains and rocks of this region to speak through paintings, poetry and stories that are a collection of community love letters. It seeks to deepen the connection between our communities and the region’s landscapes through collective creative expression. The exhibition showcases a series of large scale banners and poetry produced throughout the Scenic Rim region during community festivals and with school children in 2011 and 2012.

Bass Fishing Tournament
Lake Moogerah – August 4-5, 2012
The Jackall Bass Teams Challenge will be staged at MoogerahDam. There’s a briefing night on Friday for all teams ahead of the weekend competition. Anglers will fish three sessions over two days.

Simmonds Rd, via Tarome Rd, Tarome – August 18-19, 2012
Join Schuie on this 20 to 30km open loop motorbike course. Also available is a short 10km course, a novice trail and a peewee area.
Prices are $95 for adults, $50 for a junior and $25 for a peewee (includes insurance).
Camping facilities available, Lions Club catering lunch/dinner on Saturday and breakfast/lunch on Sunday.
