ARTISTS OF THE SCENIC RIM

Many artists reside in the Scenic Rim, simply inspired by the natural beauty. You only have to look around at the spectacular World Heritage national parks, picturesque rainforest and our friendly communities to understand their inspiration. We’re home to painters, potters, glass artists, rug makers, weavers, sculptors, printmakers, thespians, photographers, portrait artists, jewellery-makers, writers and more.

STUDIOS OF THE SCENIC RIM

The Scenic Rim is home to a rich pool of artists and creative people. Studios of the Scenic Rim provides visitors with the opportunity to step inside the workspaces of the local creative community and see them at work.

No studio is more than 90 minutes from Brisbane or the Gold Coast and some are much closer.

Most of the artists will have works available for sale and are also available to work on commissioned pieces. Some Open Studios include workshops which must be booked in advance.
Maps and information booklets are available from the region’s Visitor Information centres, or email thecentre@scenicrim.qld.gov.au

Entry to all exhibitions and art spaces is free. Studios are open from 9am – 5pm on the days indicated.

The September 2010 Studios of the Scenic Rim was a successful initiative with a huge variety of Scenic Rim artwork on display. Studios of the Scenic Rim are opening again in May 2011.
