Play in Boonah and surrounds

A vibrant town with rural roots, Boonah is located in the Scenic Rim’s west around 1.5 hour’s drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. With Moogerah Peaks and Main Range National Parks and Lakes Moogerah and Maroon on its doorstep, Boonah is the ideal launchpad for outdoor adventure.

Most roads lead to the water where you can dive into swimming, fishing, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking and power up your jet-ski or boat. Pitch a tent by the water, embark on bushwalking and rock climbing in the National Parks, take a scenic flight and test your mettle at the QLD Moto Park.

Local food, wine and brews are also on the menu – visit Scenic Rim Brewery and Kooroomba Vineyard & Lavender Farm for delicious meals and drinks with a side of breathtaking views. Nearby Aratula on the Cunningham Highway is a popular roadside rest stop for baked goods and homestyle food after your active adventures.
